At church every week as a child, Mark was very bored, so he took a sketchbook along with him. This diversion has been his most faithful companion ever since, a world to disappear into when he probably should be listening.
His work is full of humorous character illustrations, inspired by the fluid, kinetic energy of early 20th century cartoons, with a contemporary line and colour palette. He has enjoyed producing illustrations about music, food, weather, technology, communication, and the politics of childcare for clients like Esquire, Glamour, WIRED and Amazon.
