Julia Sophie Plath has always loved drawing. During her studies at HAW Hamburg, she discovered what illustration truly means to her: self-expression, a passion for storytelling, and an appreciation for the tiniest details in the characters she creates.
Since then, she has applied her skills in editorial and book illustration while also developing a deep love for frame-by-frame animation and working on her own graphic novel. Her work focuses on female perspectives and fairytale motifs such as doppelgängers, mirrors, and shadows—recently expanding to explore all kinds of liminal spaces.
