Daria Rychkova was born in Moscow, a city, as big as a small european country. She went to school, studied Graphic Design and started to work for several magazines. It was fast times in a big city and Daria was challenged to experiment with different styles and influences. Through this School-of-doing she found her unique style of fine line-drawings, accented with watercolors and natural structures, well defined compositions and calligraphic typography, always mixed with her russian love for absurdity and surrealism. Her Illustrations were published in numerous magazines, her free works were shown in exhibitions in Russia and Germany. She spent some time jumping between those two countries and three years ago she moved to Germany to live and work together with her husband. Now she enjoys drinking damn good coffee in the morning, watching street-life from the balcony-garden, drawing ducks in the park and planning a lot of new exiting projects and pictures.
